Strange Paranormal Activity on the Set of The Stone Movie

The British psychological thriller, The Stone, being filmed in Nottinghamshire, England, seems to have brought to life some peculiar paranormal events.

On the very first day of shooting the Director, Philip Gardiner, found his mobile phone ringing even though it had been turned off. The actress, Layla Randle Conde was stood before him in a scene and yet when Gardiner looked at his phone it was Layla calling him. Her phone was in her bag some distance away.

Following this was a rapid succession of batteries draining instantly, more mobile phones playing up, car alarms going off, photographs of bizarre light effects, kettles constantly turning themselves on and dials on cameras working as if they were in the Twilight Zone.

The events were so regular that it inspired some of the cast to actually return to the set during the night to hold seances where they reported strange feelings and an evil presence.

“It’s a fascinating experience even if you don’t believe in the paranormal because we we’re actually filming a horror movie. It’s as if fiction is coming to life and in all honesty I didn’t mind because it has brought an extra edge of tension to the filming.” Said Gardiner.

The movie, being filmed on location at one of the UK’s most haunted sites is already drawing attention from the world of paranormal research with one expert saying that it’s one of the biggest “events” in years. Set to be released in 2011 following a festival tour, the film is produced by Reality Films and has been written by the Director, Philip Gardiner, who wanted a completely different approach to his film.

“I didn’t want to copy Blair Witch or Paranormal Activity. I’m aiming at classic British horror in the vein of the very best Hammer House. We have so many scary scenes that the editing is going to be hard work, but the location, cast and even the music are just so perfect that I am totally enthused by the whole thing.” Said Gardiner.

Rock Band from Stoke, England, Chosen for New Movie

A relatively unknown rock band from Staffordshire, England, has been chosen to produce the music for a forthcoming movie entitled, The Stone.

The band, No Redemption, is the home of musicians, James Earnshaw and Gemma Simpson who recently wrote and performed the music for the Robin Hood documentary set for release in April 2010 by Reality Films and Warner Bros. in the States (Robin Hood: The Truth Behind Hollywood’s Most Filmed Legend). The writer and director of the documentary, Philip Gardiner, was so taken with the music that he asked them to write the music for a movie he is directing and appointed James Earnshaw as musical director.

The movie is a psychological thriller and will feature several well-known actors and include a musical theme. No Redemption will actually be in the movie playing in a theatre when all hell is said to break loose. The popular Dutch musician, Corjan, will also feature in the movie and has written a special song for his own performance.

The movie will be released in 2010 to festivals across the world before being distributed by Warner Bros on major release. Philip Gardiner created the story and co-wrote the script with John Symes. Gardiner will also direct the film, which has special effects by the same team who brought us Shaun of the Dead and actors such as Tony Scannell (The Bill), Bunny Reed (Hammer) and several unnamed A lists as a surprise.

No Redemption currently gig around Staffordshire but “we expect things to change slightly now and interest is already coming in from all over the place.” Said James Earnshaw.

This follws the exciting news of two awards from Twin Rivers Festival and the front of store placement at Barnes and Noble for the film.

"I am simply over the moon that this film is getting noticed, because I worked so damned hard on it!" Said Philip Gardiner who wrote and directed the film.

My own journey into the hidden and coded world of Ian Fleming began one winters night whilst watching Live and Let Die. There was a surge of interest for all things James Bond and so, almost every night there was one Bond film or another. I had just finished writing The Ark, The Shroud and Mary and my mind was full of the world of the esoteric, alchemy and psychology. Live and Let Die struck me almost immediately as being a very strange film. Any Bond fan will know that the film involves many references indirectly and directly to the world of the occult – in this instance voodoo. For me at that particular time in my life I was struck by the strangeness of that fact. You see, I had watched all the Bond films many times, having loved them from my childhood, and I had never before considered why Ian Fleming should delve into the dark world of voodoo. Now, having a deeper understanding of ancient psychological methods we know as gnosis, alchemy and a great many other terms, I had to sit down and re-consider things.

That was nearly two years ago now and in that time I have read every Bond novel; searched out every scrap of writing produced by Ian Fleming; researched his background, associations, friends, military history, book collections and even cross-referenced his relatives. What I discovered was to me, simply amazing. I had never considered that Ian Fleming was writing anything other than a simple spy thriller. I had never thought for one moment that the adventurous tales of a fictional British spy would lead me into not just the dark nature of mankind, but the dark world of intrigue he developed and fostered around him.

James Bond became famous in the world at a time when the real British intelligence service was a shambles. SIS (also known as MI6), the Secret Intelligence Service of the United Kingdom was being toyed with by the Soviet KGB to such an extent that I often have visions of them laughing in the Kremlin. Britain was bankrupted after the Second World War and struggling to maintain an Empire, which was crumbling around her. It worked hard at trying to rebuild physically and emotionally along with other European countries. The USSR was a gloomy threat to the stability of the world, and so Britain, along with other nations such as the USA, decided the threat of communism was too great to ignore. And so, they despatched numerous agents, both home-grown and imported from Balkan countries, into the outlying Russian occupied countries. All the time, the KGB were one step ahead, with deeply entrenched double agents of their own within the heart of Western spy networks. Most of this was hidden from the ordinary public, but it did occasionally surface and hit the mass media, resulting in several scandals such as those surrounding Kim Phillby and of course the infamous McCarthy hounding of the so-called communists in the United States. In short, the public needed reassurance that yet another war was not going to break out and that our glorious leaders had things under control. This kind of assurance only comes from very good propaganda and when Ian Fleming created Bond and Kennedy in the States claimed to have "liked it" a beautiful synergy was created – a super-spy to save the world who was of course British, but needed the help of the Americans on several occasions.

Bond was set for the heights of fame and like Sherlock Holmes, he would become more famous than his creator. But there is so much more to Bond than people may realise, for Ian Fleming was a distinctly unique individual with a great many influences. His mind was not ordinary in any respect and this gave rise to his occult interests and associations which in-turn fed information, codes and clever plots into the Bond novels. These clever devices even inadvertently found their way into the films too. Let’s just run through quickly a few of the interesting facts that we discuss in The Bond Code book:

The Influences:

During his youth, Ian Fleming was sent to "special" schools in-order to overcome his issues – issues created because of a domineering mother, a dead father and a successful elder brother. In fact we shall find that Fleming simply fooled everyone, including the doctors.
Ian Fleming explicitly said that Bond was Manichean – a concept perfectly in-line with the supposed secrets of certain societies to which Fleming was associated as we shall reveal. These are the very same secrets held sacred by secret societies throughout time.
Relatively unknown to the wider world, Ian Fleming actually translated a lecture given by psychoanalyst Carl Jung on the alchemist, physician and magician, Paracelsus, and we have copies of this transcript in Fleming’s own type and handwriting. which backs up our statements.
Within the books there is the secret of the art of alchemy at play and along with yet more patterns within the novels, reveals Fleming’s understanding of the concepts.
We will show how Ian Fleming associated with or was influenced by mystics and spiritually inclined individuals, which reveal his inner and hidden thoughts.
The Bond Code:

We will reveal how the number 007 has a sacred numerological code.
We will also reveal that the other number given to Bond, 7777, by Ian Fleming also has a numerological meaning. Other numerological codes exist such as Magic 44.
We will even show how he named his own retreat, Goldeneye, after certain occult terms. The location was known as Oracabessa and this too has occult references.
Unravelling The Bond Code we will look into the etymology of the very names and words used.
We will show how the Bond books and films are modern day fairy tales working in the same way as the medieval tales of the Holy Grail or Robin Hood and which contain gnostic codes picked up and understood by Ian Fleming.
In short, Fleming lived in a fantasy world of his own making in-order to escape his inner turmoil – something, which lead him into his own death through smoking 70 cigarettes a day and drinking copious amounts of alcohol. This fantasy world led him into the land of the occult and gnostic thought. He created his fantasy alter-ego as a great alchemical work to fulfil his own tumultuous and chaotic mind, just as many before have done. But he left behind a set of clues and codes for us to decipher – just as our medieval friends did hundreds of years ago and linked with his extensive knowledge of ciphers and codes from his wartime experiences he knitted the two worlds together into something of profound beauty.

However, we shall also discover that Fleming associated with radical secret societies both whilst within the secret service and in post-war Britain. The very codes left by Ian Fleming within his work, are the codes to the secret of the societies…"

Houdini, the occult and more

A few years ago there was a movie on the "fairie" sightings in the UK back in the early 1900's that was very interesting. This DVD shows that Conan Doyle was ridiculed for believing that the fairies existed although it was never proven otherwise. A very well made documentary which reveals many hidden facets to this famous author including his relationship with Houdini and various occult figures. It makes sense that such a great author whose works will last forever was a spiritualist.

You may well describe our current work as an amalgamation of Enya, Clannad, Jethro Tull and Genesis with a rich vein of haunting, Celtic, film-score inspired themes running through.

As for our beliefs - both Mike and I like to think we see (or at least have a sense of) the bigger picture. We don't like to squeeze a description of our spirituality into one box or label, recognising that each and every spirituality and religion is apt and indeed right for the individual who holds it true to their heart.
We have been working extensively with authors and film makers under both the Reality Entertainment and Real2Can label for a number of years now and share with them a sense of adventure and questing, if you like, to find the point where religion and science, spirit and quantum meet.

Essentially this means we believe in the sanctity and sacredness of the individual and self as an expression of the universal consciousness that is referred to as 'God'. We see our music as an expression of that with us as a conduit for music as an energetic, multidimensional component of the universe itself, in a Pythagorean sense.

An Open Letter
Below is a copy of the Letter which Steve has written in support of Abbey Hill.

"I was born in Oxfordshire with a brother with spina bifida - my first connection, if you like, to people with 'special needs'.

But after I moved to North Staffordshire in 1984 (to do a degree in music at Keele University), I felt I wanted to move into a field where I could be of use.
Since graduating, I have been based in Stoke on Trent working in social services, education services, health services, prison services and the wider community - specialising in working with music, drama and dance with people with 'special needs' and other 'minority' groups.
Among other achievemnts, I am glad to have been the first person (I think) to get a group of 'special needs' adults into the one act plays festival and there to win awards. We also made films, and had them shown on TV.
I have worked in most of the special schools in the area including Abbey Hill and have a life time's worth of experience, from the inside, of enabling and empowering 'these people' both through education and life-skills programs.

And, as much as I am in support of integration and interdependency, I am also highly aware of how 'the system' works and what resources such people and children need to enable that policy.
Unfortunately the children (and indeed adults) I have come into contact with, and particularly at Abbey Hills and other 'institutions' have very special and indeed severe needs which tend to be met far better in a specialist environment with trained and experienced staff.
Planning to close ALL the special schools in Stoke and 'integrate' them into mainstream with limited facilities will have far reaching detrimental effects on their development and future and will probably destroy all the good work that HAS been done in specialist facilities and schools.

Without getting too political, from the information I have to hand it seems that this move is more about cost cutting and money saving than it is about the welfare of the children involved, particularly as there has been NO consultation, (up until now that is) with the specialist staff who have the experience of how to work with these young people.
The obvious knock on effect of this scheme is that it will probably become 'policy' leading to closure of special schools nationwide, again with no 'real' provision. I am sorry I can't quote figures but I am aware that the amount of 'specialist' places being offered to youngsters in mainstream schools is FAR exceeded by the amount of students who will need those places.
Integration itself is such a complex and indeed challenging process for the people concerned and needs to be taken very carefully with each individual!

I have known Aidoan's parents and Aidoan himself personally for the last 2 to 3 years and have many colleagues who work at the school, hence my awareness of the situation, and want to be involved in raising other people's awareness.
This has got to happen not only locally but regionally and indeed nationally to have maximum impact, and perhaps persuade those bureaucrats involved that they are dealing with people not numbers (again another problem with the education system is that students are seen as a 'fiscal'unit, ie by how much money/funding they can attract into the education system, or otherwise).
